The amphoras are filled with wine from Sangiovese grapes and sealed with a steel cover. The wine stays in skin contact for 12 months, during which time the interaction between the terracotta, wine and skins enables the bold maturation that makes Petruna so distinctive.
Petruna meets its match in traditional Tuscan meat dishes as well as pairing perfectly with bread-based soups and pulses.
