A unique historical and artistic journey that indelibly establishes the link between art and the wine production of Il Borro; in 1996 when Ferruccio Ferragamo together with his son Salvatore decided to replant the vineyards in Il Borro, they also began to collect wine-themed engravings. Some of these are currently exhibited in the Wine & Art Gallery. From the Medici to the Savoy to the Ferragamo to fully immerse yourself in our history and that of the world, through the eyes of artists such as Mantegna, Picasso, Goya up to Warhol.
Followed by a quick tasting by the glass of two wines accompanied by a taste of Il Borro Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Wine&Art option sets the seal on the bond between art and winemaking at Il Borro. In 1996, when Ferruccio Ferragamo decided to replant vines at Il Borro with his son Salvatore, they began collecting wine themed engravings. Some of these are now on display at the Wine&Art Gallery, making for a one-of-a-kind historical and artistic journey through Il Borro’s history to its winemaking story and back again. This tour is a chance to explore our history to the full, from the Medici period to the Savoy royal family, to Ferragamo, as well as world class art by artists such as Mantegna, Picasso, Chagall and Warhol.
Following an exploration of the undisputed king of Tuscan vines, Sangiovese or Jupiter’s blood, as local people once called it. An indissoluble bond between land and wine, a tradition presented in five unique, distinctive wines made using different winemaking techniques. A guided stroll through the cellars.
